If you've visited the children's section of a mainstream clothing store recently, you know. You will find some themes only on one side of the (divided by gender) department, and the other themes on the other side. Apparently, only boys like dragons and only girls like cats. Boys wear navy blue but not pink, and girls get glitter but not trucks.

Princess Awesome and Boy Wonder know that gender stereotypes are pernicious for all children. Girls deserve clothes that tell the world what they are interested in and encourage adults to talk about something other than how pretty they look again. Boys deserve clothes that show they are loving children who are not just out for "trouble" or "breaking hearts." All children deserve to be seen for who they are and what matters to them.
